Tighter Regulation of Pakistani Voip DID

Tighter documentation and identification requirements must now be met for individuals or business to purchase VoIP numbers from Pakistan.

The new requirements state:

The end user must supply a scan of the front and back of their Pakistani NIC card. The NIC card must be from the same area (or area code) as the DID number applied for. Overseas NIC cards will not be accepted.

The end user must also supply a local address with the application.

It is hoped that the tighter regulation will encourage more telcos to make DID available for VoIP use. This in turn will increase the coverage area and reduce monthly charges.

As of this moment only Islamabad (9251) numbers are available at realistic prices.

Islamabad virtual numbers are available for 5.99 euro per month from http://www.mydivert.com
