How To Make International VOIP Calls
Voice over Internet Protocol, sometimes referred to as Internet telephony is advancing everyday. It is now estimated that there are over 12 million VoIP users in the USA alone! This is because VoIP enables people to make international calls using their computers and broadband connections at a fraction of the cost compared to traditional PSTN telephone lines.
Making a VoIP call is very easy. All you need is a normal telephone and use it together with a VoIP adaptor (ATA). The person receiving the call cannot tell whether you are using a traditional PSTN, or a VoIP, telephone to make the VoIP call.
For you to get connected, you need to have a Broadband Internet connection. You do not necessarily need to have a computer. An ATA adapter connects the broadband modem directly to your normal phone enabling VoIP calls to be placed or received. You can then make VoIP calls to any number in the world.
Mydivert.com provides a service offering low cost VoIP international calls. All you need is an Internet connection to use our VoIP International service for outgoing calls. Another alternative to a hardware ATA device is to use a dialer, or softphone, on your PC together with a headset, or speakers and microphone.
VOIP calls can then be placed worlwide or at very low call rates.
If you purchase an incoming DID number to use with our service, you can than also receive your calls directly through your internet connection, or have the incoming calls forwarded to your landline or mobile phone.
