Regulations and Requirements for buying Virtual Numbers

Following on from my post regarding the Pakistani (PTA) requirements for purchasing DID numbers we received quite a few requests for clarification overnight.

The sittuation remains fluid for many countries around the world where VoIP DID are available. As more and more Telcos enable virtual DID numbers, and more vendors open on the market with different documenation requirements, the sittuation changes almost daily.

Certainly in order to purchase the most reliable DID from the most reputable vendors it is strongly advised to offer documents/ID etc. where possible. Where this is not possible DID may be still be available but not always from the best vendor.

Below is a summary of the current sittuation.

Firstly you will need to create an account with MyDivert.com, with €10 account credit. Simply fill in your account information on the new user page and continue to the checkout.

A valid email address is required for you to receive your account information.

Before your account can be activated you may be asked to supply additional information to verify the authorisation of your paypal payment.

Once your account is open, you can login and purchase your incoming local phone number.
