We at mydivert.com have been preparing for the next stage upgrade of our platform infrastructure and the completion of this work is planned for this coming weekend.
On Saturday 11th December we will be performing a scheduled upgrade on our server equipment at sip.mydivert.com starting at around 9am GMT.
This upgrade work is essential for the continued scalability of the system and to maintain the high performance required.
What is changing?

The server IP address for sip.mydivert.com will be changing from
188.40.93.13 to 78.46.43.9
The DNS for the domain sip.mydivert.com will be updated on Saturday morning as soon as the upgrade has been completed but the changes may take several hours to propergate throughout the internet.
How will this effect your account?

No new account creations will be allowed during the upgrade work.
The user account area will be closed for up to 6 hours on Saturday morning. This means you will be unable to top-up account credit or otherwise manage your account during this period.
The automated systems of DID subscription renewals and expiry will be suspended during the upgrade. If any users have DID that are due to expire during the service outage we will maintain them within the system so that repurchase is possible.
How will this effect phone calls?

Calls being routed via sip.mydivert.com, both inbound and outbound, will be unavailable for up to 3 hours (we estimate) from 9am GMT Saturday morning.
Inbound calls that are being sent to custom SIP URI mappings, or skype, from our mapping servers will be unaffected by this maintainence work. The mapping servers will continue to function normally.
Users with SIP equipment and telephones registering to sip.mydivert.com will experience a loss of conectivity during the upgrade. The conectivity will be restored as soon as the domain DNS change propergates to your internet service provider (2 - 6 hours usualy).
Users who require a quicker fix for SIP registration problems can replace sip.mydivert.com with the new IP address 78.46.43.9 in their device configuration.

09.00 am GMT : existing sip switch backup proceedures run
09.15 am GMT : existing sip switch is shutdown - service outage begins
10.30 am GMT : restoration of backup completed and verified on new equipment
10.40 am GMT : conectivity between the accounts system and sip switch is restored
11.00 am GMT : restoration of inbound and outbound channels to the new switch
12.00 am GMT : reinstallation of smaller components and codec licenses completed
Once the conectivity between system components has been restored the user account area will then be reopened.
We ask users to have some patience on Saturday before opening support tickets. This will allow our technicians to focus on the work in hand.
