Alternative SIP ports opened

We are pleased to announce new ports available for SIP registration to our servers.

An increasing number of users find themselves in environments where port 5060 (the default sip port) is blocked, either by the ISP, or network administrators. The opening of new ports enables sip registartion for these users.

The new ports are 2060 and 3060 in addition to the default 5060

Many softphones and hardware devices can be forced to use an alternative port by appending the port number to the registration url if the option to set the sip port does not exist. For example, sip1.mydivert.com:3060 will usualy force registration on port 3060

The configuration change has been achieved by running a second kamailio process which listens on the two new ports and then relays to 5060, where kamailio 1 handles the registration and state management.
